Oh, that’s going to hurt! Yep, it’s just the morning after working out with my trainer and I’m already sore. For me, that’s a bad sign, considering I’m usually the most sore a full 24-48 hours after an intense workout. Although, it really could be considered a good sign. I worked my booty off (literally, I wish!) and being sore makes me feel proud of my efforts.
Are you curious about the workout? She explained it to myself and a friend as being like the song, “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” You know, 12 drummers drumming, 11 pipers piping, 10 lords a-leaping, 9 ladies dancing…and so on. So we did the first exercise, then the first and second, then the first, second and third. Every time, beginning with the lunges again.
10 – Squats
9 – Swings (20#)
8 – Box jumps
7 – Sit ups
6 – Forward Rows (15#)
5 – 8-Counts
4 – Lateral Pull-Downs (80#)
3 – Something Snatches. I don’t remember their full name. (15#)
2 – Lunges on each leg (20#)
1 – Half mile walk (my friend ran)
I actually tried to run a little of the half mile, but my achilles was feeling aggravated from the box jumps. I quickly went back to a walk and hobbled the distance, just wanting to get it over with. Youch!
I was seriously huffing and puffing throughout most of this workout. I don’t know if it was that tough or if I’ve slid backwards since I haven’t been consistently working out for a couple of weeks, probably a little of both. I’ll just say I haven’t seen myself that red faced in…I don’t think ever. I told my son that after I had been home for a while and he said my face was still red. Nice!
So thank you Miss CN for a kick ass workout and I’m glad I had my friend KC to sweat along side with. Good, sweaty, painful times.

Diana had butt crack and boob sweat during the workout. It was a tough one, CN does know how to kick our butt, that’s why we love her.
