in Injuries

I know, I know, I haven’t posted for a while. I am finding it hard to be a mother runner when I am not actually allowed to run right now. I haven’t run in about a month and a half and the achilles is still hassling me. It hurts, and it hurts a lot when I have work done on it to break up the scar tissue or whatever it is massage and PT are attempting to do. This is beyond old, it is getting down right depressing.

I had an MRI on Friday, 12/4 and have a follow up with my doctor 12/14. I am hopeful that after months of therapy, cortisone, ice and Advil, that the MRI will tell us something…anything. I’d almost rather have bad news than more of the unknown, each week hoping things will turn a corner. I want specifics; I want concrete information; Mostly, I just want to know how to fix this bitch of an achilles once and for all.

So please send prayers and good vibes my way. The non-running Mother Runner bit can only last so long. :)

Oh, I feel for you. I’m injured again, a sprained ankle this time and I can feel my achilles tightening up. I’m so frustrated and I’m only a week and half into this. I’m sending good vibes your way and I hope you get good news after the MRI. Take care.
