World’s Best Running Socks

I am quite possibly the pickiest foot person you could ever meet. I’ll admit, I have some OCD tendencies and can easily be distracted while I’m running if just one thing doesn’t feel right about my feet. First, my socks must be snug, not tight, but certainly no sign of bunching. Sometimes this means that socks that really are my size, still have the heel poking out of the back of my shoe just so the socks feel snug on the rest of my foot. Next, the shoe must be tied at a perfect “tightness.” That means I frequently have to tie my shoes a couple of times each, just to find that sweet spot. It’s silly, even ridiculous, I know. That’s why I much prefer to wear slip-on’s whenever I’m not running, not flip flops mind you because I can’t stand anything between my toes, but that’s a whole different conversation.

I was recently approached by a representative of Sof Sole and asked to try out and review a few of their footwear accessories. To be honest, I had never tried their insoles or performance socks. With my planar fasciitis, I was especially looking forward to trying the insoles to see if they would give me a little relief. I’ve been wearing the insoles in my running shoes for a couple of weeks now, but my miles are so low (just 2-3 miles at a time). They seem really comfortable, but my feet are just in a constant state of discomfort, so the jury is still out.

That said, their socks are awesome! They sent me both the Coolmax Lite and Anti-Friction styles. They are both great, but I am in love with the Coolmax Lite socks. I have an enormous drawer full of socks and I was actually washing the two pairs that I received so that I could keep wearing them every day. The Coolmax Lite socks are perfectly snug without being tight, just like I was trying to force my other socks to be. I never knew what I was missing out on with my regular cushioned socks. My old socks seem incredibly bulky now. Seriously, absolutely head over heels in love with Coolmax Lite socks. They get an A+ from me!
